Welcome To Daisy’s Blog
Hi friends,
I’m Daisy.
Official shop assistant, brand ambassador, vintage inspector, professional nap supervisor, and part-time crumb collector.
Somewhere between thrift store adventures, handmade jewelry created from broken vintage china, and too many vintage mugs to count, my human Paula decided we needed a place to share all the cozy inspiration behind the shop.
So welcome to Daisy’s Blog.
Around here, we believe old things still have stories worth telling. A worn recipe box, a cottage-style teacup, a milk glass mug from somebody’s favorite kitchen shelf... they all carry a little warmth with them.
This blog is where we’ll share vintage styling ideas, collecting tips, thrift adventures, decorating inspiration, and the occasional opinion from me personally. (For example: every vintage kitchen should include snacks.)
Whether you’re a longtime collector or just learning how to mix vintage charm into your home, we’re happy you’re here.
So come in, get cozy, and stay awhile. Because like many vintage stories, this one began long before these pieces were ever called “vintage.”
Paula grew up surrounded by many of the things people now search antique malls and thrift stores to find. Her mother was born in 1931, so the kitchenware, dishes, glassware, and cozy little household details from decades past were simply part of everyday life. Long before these pieces were called “vintage,” they were simply home.
Vintage treasure hunting also runs in the family. Two of Paula’s aunts had reselling businesses, and over the years shopping secondhand became less of an errand and more of an adventure.
Some of the very best days were what Paula lovingly called “Golden Girls” days out, taking her mother and her mother’s three sisters thrifting together before stopping for lunch and sharing stories afterward. Those days became treasured memories filled with laughter, vintage finds, and the kind of conversations that stay with you long after the day is over.
The original “Golden Girls”. 🥰
After her mother passed away in 2021, many of those everyday items became even more meaningful. Collecting vintage today is not just about decorating. It is about comfort, connection, and holding onto the warmth of the people and memories that made a house feel like home.
Sometimes a simple set of dishes or a familiar mug can bring an entire moment rushing back.
That is part of the heart behind this little vintage corner of the world.
Proof that there’s always room for one more Pyrex bowl!
Here on Daisy’s Blog, we’ll be sharing all sorts of vintage-inspired stories, decorating ideas, thrift store treasures, collecting tips, cozy vintage decor inspiration, and little pieces of nostalgia that make a house feel like home.
Some posts will be helpful guides, some will be stories from our vintage adventures, and some may simply celebrate the beauty of old things that still deserve to be loved.
Whether you’re a longtime collector or just beginning to mix vintage charm into your home, we hope this little corner of the internet leaves you feeling inspired, comforted, and ready for your next treasure hunt.
Love,
Paula & Daisy 🐾
